Welcome to PCS 406. Anointing of the Sick by Dr. Bridget Mary Meehan

This course explores the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick as an encounter with divine healing love that energizes and transforms body, mind, and spirit.

It presents an overview of healing prayer in Jesus’ ministry as well as contemporary prayer practices that reflect on the meaning of suffering, sickness and death in the Christian story.

This course also provides  a variety of ecclesiastical rituals used by the Church today, and invites you to design  a contemporary Anointing of the Sick Ritual or Celebration of Life.
