PCS 203B - Bound in Translation:
A Book Club and Bible Study with
author Lizzie Berne DeGear
Tuesdays at 7pm EDT
May 26 - June 23
As Lizzie Berne DeGear prepares to publish the sequel to Found in Translation: The story within the story of the Bible’s earliest gospel, she is forming this small study group to read these next chapters together. This study focuses on Mark 3-4. Each week participants will prepare by reading Lizzie’s exploration of the gospel text. We will gather weekly to ponder and discuss such questions as “Whose subjectivity is reflected in the Gospel of Mark and how does that affect us?” “If the so-called Twelve didn’t understand Jesus then how has their misunderstanding distorted Jesus’s good news?” “What do we do with our anger?”
$100 for the 5-week course
$25 supplement to receive audio versions of the reading each week.
PREREQUISITE: reading the first volume of this work, Jesus Found in Translation, before the course begins.
